I genuinely can’t recommend Miss Sumayyah highly enough. She was honestly the best English tutor I could’ve asked for. Every lesson was interactive, engaging, and productive, but she also knew when it was time to be serious and push me to do better. She didn’t just tell me what I wanted to hear, she told me what I needed to hear and that made a huge difference in my progress. She helped me improve my confidence in English, essay writing, analysis and exam technique. You can tell she is a teacher that genuinely cared about helping me succeed and always adapted her teaching to what I needed. The progress I made with her was something I don’t think I would’ve achieved elsewhere. Again, I can not recommend her enough!

Miss Summayah made sure that i fully understood something before moving on in the lesson - but she also offered me support outside of my lessons . She calmed me down before several of my gcses ( i was a mess haha) and was always there to answer any of my questions. I thoroughly enjoyed my lessons with her.

I really enjoyed the lessons because they were always friendly, interesting, and easy to follow. My confidence in speaking English has improved a lot, and I feel much more comfortable using English in everyday situations. The lessons were different because they were personalized and focused on real conversations instead of just grammar.

My English tutor was exceptional because she helped me develop both my confidence and my ability in the subject. Her guidance improved my ability to structure detailed, well-supported arguments and analyse language, form, and structure effectively. Through her support, I became much more confident in analysing literature, expressing my ideas clearly, and writing thoughtful, insightful essays. Her patience, encouragement, and passion for English made every lesson engaging and inspired me to achieve my full potential.

That changed completely when I joined Miss Sumayyah’s lessons; she truly fostered a love for language and literature in me that I didn't know I had. She taught me not just how to structure my answers, but how to genuinely think like an examiner. Within just a few months, my grades jumped from 2s and 3s to 7s and 8s. English went from being my weakest subject to one that I grew to love so much I pursued it at A-Level, ultimately achieving an A grade.
